Beyond just feeling compelled to document the changing face of the urban landscape, I desire also to wander in solitude, looking for spaces reminiscent of other worlds or times, even perhaps of the end of civilization itself. In documenting buildings and landscapes in various states of construction, disrepair and delapidation, I am able to make sense of my own existence as a human being. It is this search for virtue and meaning in spaces forgotten or unnoticed that I wish to convey. Shooting mostly during twilight and night, using analog equipment, I am able to connect with the environment , documenting my experience and the process of change in the world without, a world which becomes an abstract place of rugged character and ragged beauty to a person simply wandering...........
